Where to buy, vega midi dupe

Im looking to pick up my vega midi duplicator.

Was wondering if you guys have dealt with any of the online places that sell there stuff?

I'd like to buy it from a local place in RI or MA if they could get it.

I've seen prices range from 220 to 300.

Any advice or places to stay away from.

Thanks guys,

Chef

Did that Larry, I found another place that has it for 225 and free shipping.

I'm always sketchy about doing business online from places I haven't dealt with.

Just make sure you contact me if you decide to go with a carbide set up. I can save you a few bucks. The hss set up is adequate but the carbide is better.

I will second the carbide Chris, The HSS cutters are nice but once you get rolling you can really start to bang out a ton of bodies fairly quickly. You will find yourself sharpening the HSS often. My dupe is a delta that I can not seem to find a carbide cutter for and I wind up by rotating 4 HSS heads in and out of service and then have to sharpen all at once. Not to mention every time you change the head you have to re-center the dupe and it takes a bit of time.

That being said I haven't even finished a plug this year yet. I have a hundred or so bodies turned just no time to finish them.
