Great news!!!

My wife talked to Bill this evening. Alisson went through surgery fine and everything was successfull (and necessary the Doc said). What a relief to hear that news. Bill said that the staff got a chuckle when she woke up and said she was all done...

She'll be in the hospital until Friday but we hope the hard part is over. Bill and my sister are still understandably wound up with this but are very gratefull that it has gone well...

Now, I need to find a near human-sized Buzz Lightyear stuffed doll (her favorite) before I see her tomorrow !!!

Again, thanks guys for all your prayers and support - I know they are gratefull.

Very sincerly,

John Redmond

Glad to hear of the great news. I'm sure she's in good hands. I hope her parents can sleep better tonight, I'm sure it's been tough. Thanks for letting us know. We can still send some prayers her way.

I'm still feeling a flood of relief. But I'm going to visit her tonight and see if I can find the 4' high Buzz Lightyear, any suggestions?

They said she'll be sleeping most of the day but will be awake by this afternoon...

John,

Buzz Lightyear merchandise is sold at Disney Stores, though it may be sold in others places as well. Not sure if they have the jumbo Buzz or not.

If you work in Boston(which you do, no?), there is a Disney store at the Copley Mall and at the Cambridgeside Galleria. There must be one down in the financial district as well.

Glad to hear all is well.

Thanks John
Im really glad to hear she did well . I wish I could tell you where to get a 4ft buzz lightyear for her that would really help with the hospital stay . I know how much it stinks to be stuck in the hospital .

John, that's great news, please give Bill and Leslie my best. I'll let the many folks on SOL who expressed their best wishes and prayers know, if you haven't done so already.

Thanks everyone!! I haven't talked to my sister or Bill yet but I'm certain they would be touched by the well wishes from you folks, I know that I am.

As for Buzz Lightyear, the only place I've found them is online at the disney.com. Apparently, the stores do not carry them and why settle for a king size bear when you can have a buzz, right? :P I tried 8 stores from Warwick to Cambridge, no go...

MikeP - thanks, I'll stop by there and thank everyone there for Alisson as well.

I talked to Bill last night and he said she is doing OK considering and her spirits are good other than she needs to remain in bed.

He also said that it would be best not to visit her until she comes home Sunday... So I'll wait. But ther surgery was a success and she will be fine soon. That's the important thing to remember.

Again, thanks to everyone for your prayers and good words!!! They worked!!!

John
