It was the worst of times. 11:00AM being towed back to the ramp with a blown motor. Thank God for SeaTow, would have cost $500 with out my membership. Andy says it sounds like a siezed rod bearing, big$$$.

it could have happened in real snotty weather
so perhaps it happening now is better.

yea join the club..... finally got my 13' whaler in after powerpack repairs....... ran great for 3 weeks, then died again.... might be a while before i get back out there

Andy, the Merc repair guy thinks it`s a rod bearing and could get to it pretty soon but paying for it is gonna be the problem. Big $$$.

Sorry to hear it. The other weekend my buddy was about 20 miles from home when his merc took a dump. 80 hours on it. Only out a few times since he last dropped $3000 after insurance or warranty or whatever... Took 9 hours till he got back. Told it isn't gonna be cheap this time either  |

In between we were into a pretty good bite on flies. Earlier in the season I caught LOTS on the fly, which is my favorite way to fish. But then I got swept up in the big fish craze and switched over to pogies on the spin rod, I got my fill with 8 fish over 30#. Now it`s time to switch back to what I love most.

I know the feeling Slinger, I snapped the steering arm off my motor last year and hitched a ride the same way.
