Great to meet everyone. I'm pretty sure every move we made was a big circle back to the same spot. 3

Thanks Niko for setting this up. If EelSkimmer hadn't brought the banana we probably would have caught more fish.

Paul,
Thanks again. Also, thanks for staying awake to whole ride up AND back! It was a great day overall.
John,
Thanks for the S-B.com stickers. They will be well served.

It was a good S-B.com trip, nice meeting more S-B finatics and thanks to the FishOn, Zacs, and Niko for their work in putting this together however back to Stellwagon ground fishing for me! The Cove/Jeffries surely didn't hold up to it's reputation.
Paul, Thanks for the plug for 1st fish boated in the stern! Glad it didn't have to be a keeper to qualify.

We made an effort to deny his martydom. Clearly, walking around with the Phillies cap on, he wanted us to toss him over the rail. So rather than to be goaded in, we pretty much ignored him all the way up until he had a tantrum on the deck stripped down to the spidey underoos...

In all seriousness, I had a blast... Thanks to everyone for getting this all together. Good to meet some new people and catch up with others.
Bummer that the fish didn't cooperate, but at least most people went home with something. I'm going to enjoy my $120 haddock tonight
Big congrats to SM36... While he still hasn't proved that he can jig at all, he did prove that he can chuck a clam with the best of them!!

Reports are - fishing was slow:
Some Cod, Haddock, Pollock came over the rail into the boat. Nothing big. Striperman36 had the biggest Cod.
John Pollock almost joined his kin on the ocean side of the rail
Amazingly, I think only one Dogfish was caught - heard but did not see.
Some flounder and occasional wolffish, and cusk came up as well.

Mr Pollock was serious bad luck. He stood next to me for a while and the fish stopped biting. I don't think he was three steps away from me heading into the cabin and the bite started again. Pretty sure someone up the bow sent him back to try and ruin the great fishing us stern guys were sharing.

I also had a great trip. Fishing could have been better, but I went home with a decent bag of haddock fillets, so I can't complain too much. Unfortunately, the 3 or 4 people that I had promised fish to aren't so lucky.
Striperman36 thanks for the flounder fillets!
BrianS is a jigging machine. I think he might be the only person on the boat that didn't switch to bait once. And it paid off with the second largest cod... but he missed the collection for the pool
We had a good group of fishermen on the bow. Much superior fishermen to the slackers in the stern. The crowd on the stbd side was kept entertained by Sea Dangles running commentary.
iamskippy bought dinner at Kelly's on the way home (thanks bro!). I ate way too much, and combined with the two 5hr energy i guzzled for the drive, it made for some pretty bad indigestion all night and this morning... feeling better now.
Can't wait for a fish fry tonight!!!
