Hundreds of tailing fish

Sunday morning there were hundreds and maybe thousands of tailing dogfish on the west side of BI. They were as close as 10' to shore and out at least 1/4 mile. It was extremely foggy and they may have been more. I have seen them on the surface before but that was from a boat and they were only maybe ten. I am assuming that they were feeding on sandeels. Has anyone else ever seen them in such large quantities on the surface? Too bad they were not stripers.

Seen miles of them on the surface down the backside while tuna fishing. They don't even get out of the way for the boat.

Guys at my marina are dogging right now and they can't even put a dent in them with 3k lb limits.
