Help with Furuno Transducer

Hi Guys,
I'm wondering if anyone out there might be able to help me.

I have a Furuno 585 in my boat with an Airmar B117 transducer

It is a non tilted element 200/50khz bronze through hull transducer.
It does not have temperature function.

It goes by the part number 520-BLD (B117-DT-10F) which stands for
B117 ( Airmar ) DT ( Depth/Temp) 10F ( 10pin Furuno)
Airmar part# 31-653-3-01

All the specs I can find say that temp is optional, optional on what I don't know, as some manufacturers list this transducer ( the B117) as having temp and some such as Furuno do not.

Now, in Australia there is the exact same transducer but it has the part number 520T-BLD, with the "T" standing for temperature. It is the exact same transducer except it has temperature.

Furuno have said that this 520T-BLD is not available in the USA!!!!

Just wondering if anyone has come across this issue before with Airmar transducers???

Many thanks
Heath

I'd call Airmar directly and ask them.

Things done at the last possible minute are done with the greatest possible information. Procrastination is, therefore, the most efficient means of doing things.
