used leaning post
i want to upgrade the cooler seat i have to a leaning post. are there any places around that sell these used? i'm going tocheck craigslist

theres a guy on cl who sells them for $275. don't know the qaulity but the price is right

niko - let me know how you make out, I've been intersted in swapping out my seats for a leaning post. The prices I've seen have been way too much for me.

Wasn't there someone one this site that last spring changed one out for a different one. Maybe they still have the one that came off???

The one he took out needed a new cushion.

It was me, I bought it off of Ebay, the thing is the balls. Trouble is most of the guys doing them no hable english and their communication skills are lacking. I got mine and am very happy with it. Unfortunately I got rid of the other on already. I got a quote of 500 for a new cushion for the old one. It had the pedestal style bottom. I got a new leaning post, cushion and 4 rod holders for 475 on ebay, and I can fit a 70 qt Igloo under it. |

I just picked up a custom leaning post from CL, I believe the same guy that has leaning-posts.com in Clinton, CT. Very nice piece and the prices are right.
I already had a cushion and he had a 28" aluminum frame sitting around the shop for $125, worked out perfect.
The skiff will be nice this spring, but now I need to upgrade to a taller console 
I have an aluminum boxed swingback seat that needs paint and the upper cushion recovered for cheap if anyone needs it. |

Don't pay this guy at leaning-posts.com to build one for you said it would take 3-5 weeks currently looking at 8 and he won't say when it will be done. Krispy you must of been lucky to get one so quick from him. Anyway just a heads up for those who are thinking of getting one here. I have all emails to back this up also if anyone is interested.
