Ocean Claims Another

Yesteray morning the Atlantic Ocean along our shore line claimed another striped bass fisherman. Very hard to fish along Cape Ann when there is a nor east wind. Seas were 6.9 ft. crashing onto the rocks. This fella from the report was that he was out on an out crop of rocks when he was swept into the water with heavy cloths on. He was flown to Boston where he was pronounced DOA.

When fishing along the rocks around here it is not the seaweed that you need to worry about, we all know that is wet and slippery. It's the black coloration on the rocks that take the un-knowning by surprise. There have been many dislocations and head injuryies along our rocky shore.

this is really sad, but its a good point, that spot can be really treacherous in the best of conditions...
