seems like a lot of speculation and sketchy science predictions that could go either way.

Well you guys have heard me say this before. I been a ham operator all my life. I learned how to read solar indices when I was 11 years old. I've read about the sun my entire life. The last several years have been unlike anything we have seen. It's not a question of guys knowing #^^^^& about this...it's that these things have never been understood how they work period. It's theory nothing else. There's some smart dudes that study this stuff and they don't even understand it..
If this turns into a Maunder Minimum in the next few years we're in trouble.

Uxbridge just gave a $800k bone to a 15 acre solar farm going in town.
Man is creating climate change by changing the color of the earth...let's change 15 more acres from green field to black solar panels

Google/Wikipedia:
The Maunder Minimum (also known as the prolonged sunspot minimum) is the name used for the period roughly spanning 1645 to 1715 when sunspots became exceedingly rare, as noted by solar observers of the time.
The concept became notable after John A. Eddy published a landmark 1976 paper in Science titled "The Maunder Minimum".[1] Astronomers before Eddy had also named the period after the solar astronomer Edward W. Maunder (1851-1928) who studied how sunspot latitudes changed with time.[2] The periods he examined included the second half of the 17th century. Edward Maunder published two papers in 1890 and 1894, and he cited earlier papers written by Gustav Spörer.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.
