Sure is sad. Did you see the picture of all the kids bodies on the island?
Shame. T&P for Norwegians. Very nice people.

There is no safe place in the world.
Have to go back to calling it what it is, a "Global War on Terror" and
nix the renamed PC, "Overseas Contingency Operation", BS.

So you're saying we should invade Norway? Cut off their funds? Insert the CIA?
What exactly are you proposing?

Hopefully Norway will wake up and change the laws. This puke is a waste of life and shouldn't be able to consume any more air or water on earth.

21 years....unless he is deemed a threat to repeat....then they can keep him indefinitely. Pretty sure they will say he is a threat to repeat. Don't think he will see the light of day.

Our homicide rate is 5 per 100,000
Theirs is 0.6 per 100,000
In general they have an extremely low crime rate.
What laws should they change?
And what TDF said.

I guess not so much the laws but the penalties for breaking the laws. I think if their (Norway's) homicide rate climes over a period of time, the punishments will get stiffer (not that it would prevent violent crimes).
21 years for what he did seems a little weak to me. What happens after 21 years if they consider him no longer a threat, should he be free? I personally don't think so. I think there is a difference between rehabilitation and punishment. He needs to be punished and 21 years isn't enough punishment in my mind.
Our crime rate is a joke and I think it’s due to the society that we live in. Watching the news each night, it’s like a bunch of animals are living amongst us. Not sure what the answer is..................

His crime should be punishable per each individual crime
so 21 years per each person killed served concurrently
not based on an event where people died
and he was responsible.....
then there's the total costs involved for all damages
and expenses because of what he did
levied against him forever too.

Don't be rediculus, you read sooo much into a simple post that says," ya call it what it is",
a Global War on Terror" not sugar coat it as "Overseas Contingency Operation" for the sake of PC ,offending someone, or fear the name is too harsh.

Norway will keep him in jail until he's pushing daisies.
Their system is different from ours, they don't just lock you up then let you out after your sentence is over. Think of it more as a parole hearing, except much much more difficult to get through.
