Funny story about Ironman competitor

Having just finished a cruise last April, my in-laws and the wife took an excursion when we arrived back in Lauderdale to the big swamp and went on an air boat ride. At the end of the ride we went to the aligator wrestling show. It was pretty entertaining all in all. Anyway my sister-in-law I was with, chides the gator wrestler about the Ironman Tattoo on this guys shoulders, suggesting anyone could get that tattoo. My sister-in-law was also bragging about her kid doing his first Ironman in Texas at just over eight hours. The gator wrestler is about mid 30's and in good shape. He is cocky as all get out and somewhat rude. So they go back and forth in front of all these people in the pit area, in a nice way, until he calls us m#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&s (gator wrestler comes from Westport), which I took exception tojust a wee bit. The wrestler didn't say how many triathalons he had been in, where they were or anything else. He just kind of let his brashness speak for him. So we watch the show and leave.

Fast forward to Sunday last at 9:30 a.m., while eating breakfast and reading the Globe. On ESPN2 comes a show all about this Ironman Triathalete who looked very familiar that wrestles aligators. The whole half-hour show is about the same guy. Shows him get bitten by an aligator and stitched up by a fellow employee USING A DOG SUCHER KIT, shows him getting bitten by a diamond back rattler, and his hand swelling out of proportion with big black bubbles on it, and ending up in the hospital. And the show also shows this guy swimming in a canals where the air boats ride to show the touristas the aligators. He swam there to get ready for the triathalons. THEN THE ANNOUNCER GOES ON TO TELL US ABOUT HOW IN 1999 THIS GATOR WRESTLER WON A DOUBLE IRONMAN (WHO RUNS A DOUBLE IRONMAN IN ONE DAY, THATS WHACKED), WHERE I DON'T NO PLUS A WHOLE HOST OF OTHER RACES AS WELL. WELL DIDN'T I FACEBOOK SISTER-IN-LAW TO CHIDE HER WITH THIS LITTLE TIDBIT. THE GATOR WRESTLER IS AN ENORMOUSLY ACCOMPLISHED ATHELETE, WHO KNEW?

Sounds like you have a "female dog" for a sister in law. There was no reason to comment about his tattoo in a negative manner. What good did she think would come of it? Some day she will open her to the wrong person who doesn't care if she is female.

Sounds a little like a "My kid goes to XXX (pick any high-priced turd school)" parent.

Forgive my brashness, but unless SHE did the actual IRONMAN triathalon, she should keep quiet.
Nothing as sad as someone living their life vicariously through someone else's accomplishments.

That gator wrestler derfinitely has brought a dog to that fight!!
