None of these people would last 10 minutes in a major corporation leading ANYTHING. Article doesnt mention their education/degrees. I bet 95% are lawyers. The committee should be business leads, process improvement gurus, finance people. not politicians

I can hear Obama and his advisors now....I have an idea, lets take a bunch of buffoons who got us in this mess and shine them up real bright for the general public. The we will create a fancy new committee with an important name to look into the mess they helped create. The general public should buy that right?

The Super Committee could make themselves look like all-stars if they initiated some *effective* oversight of entitlement programs. For instance, don't all people like this to continue receive food stamps:
People used to be embarrassed to use food stamps and receive any kind of aid. Now, it's actually become a career path for many. Just drive through Dorchester or Mattapan at 1pm on any weekday. It's like church just got out. |
