Question 50MM (WHY)

With the advent of braided line, concept guide systems etc, what is everyones opinion on the use of a 50MM stripper guide in future builds? Yes I see where mono and big spool reels this still is a possibility. I have one opinion: Say a larger spool reel w/ braid on a concept design shorter rod length, say 9-9.6'. Bringing the stripper closer allows less bunching of runners and puts the stripper 50MM closer to reel and makes use of the power of the butt. What is everyones thoughts?

Lots of guys still fishing 25 lb Ande on huge Penn reels. Many other combinations of line and reels in that general direction.

No concept build will use a 50 with braided line. They might go high frame but not big ringed.Even on a 9 foot rod , a "concept" build has the gathering guide pretty far out. If its not , its not really a concept build.

The biggest reason for big guides is that the user desides his fishing needs require it.
