Red Sox anybody watching tonight :)

Yes this would normally go in the Sportstalk section but tonight and possibly tomorrow nights are exceptional ball games.

I hope they close it out with a win tonight and the useless Yankees beat the Rays. The Yankees are not even trying to win in the last 3 games , they prefer seeing the Rays instead of the Sox but sometimes Stuff Happens and the Yankees could win despite themselves.

Most important though is that we win. If we win two more games we are in for sure , if we win tonight , we may be in.

This will be a big business night for every neighborhood bar in MA and RI.

Go Red Sox !!!!

I will watch. I've been wondering the same. Im sure the yanks would love to keep the sox out of the playoffs but would they rather face the rays? I would think not, the rays pitching has been far better than the sox lately and they've been playing better ball. The yanks should be hoping to tee off on the sox lackluster staff as their odds of advancing to the second round are better vs the sox.

I am glad they lost. Better now than get into the playoffs and loose right away.
They are the worst chokers ever and I am seriously thinking of becoming a Yankee fan after 64 years as a Red Soxs fan. Just kidding about the Yankee fan stuff.

No boat, back in the suds.

No, while that was a big choke, the 2004 Yankees ALCS was the Greatest Choke Ever

I was at the game last night.....it couldn't have been more painful if they included a complimentary rectal exam .....

That was just in case I forgot what it was like to be a red Sox fan.....

They just didn't deserve to be in the playoffs. You can look at the individual plays last night , at the gane as a whole or their record setting collapse in Sept. All things considered , they just didn't deserbe to go any further this year.

I'm a die hard Sox fan and I kind of enjoyed them losing. To me, it will give all the pink hats and bandwagon jumpers a taste of what it was like pre-2004 for the rest of us.

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio

Why do Boston sports teams have to fail at such an epic scale? I'm fine with not making the playoffs every year or going for a length of time without a championship. However, Boston teams seem to find the most epic methods of losing - Bruins losing 4 in a row to the Flyers, Patriots blowing a perfect season against an inferior Giants team and now the implosion of the Red Sox.

Now that's how you ruin the season, old school. All is right in the world again. My beloved Sox's are back to true form again.

Still in a state of shock. Couldn't believe it, 2 outs - 2 strikes but noooo! Then you still have hope but within minutes the season is over. Cataclysmic is the word that comes to mind. I had to console 4 little fans and welcome them to becoming true Red Sox fans. Something is wrong in that clubhouse and I think it is going to be that way for a long time. Theo is the one that should be going.
