We've been putting food in a cooler outside. Our place is almost cold enough to just keep the fridge open.

Got woken up around 3am to smoke alarms in my house.
Good news power came back on.
Bad news. Smoke detectors going off because surge strip in living room was smoking. Tv & 2 year old washing machine are junk.

Crap, this reminds me... didn't unplug the computer or tv.
