				 | That does work on shallow flesh(the string yank-out technique) but you have to be careful you are not hung up on tendons...if you rip them out you will have a lot of post problems moving your hand.
 
 We have all had hooks in our hands to different degrees.  It is a pain...esp when the fish is still attached as well.
