Gibbs
Hello All, I've been lurking for a while, I have the same name here as other places, and some of you sound familiar.. I have a question,
Just added (2) to my collection, one deep danny (Gibbs) and the other was told it was a gibbs, but it has a rounder face like an Atom, made of wood and painted like white gibbs, did they used to make a Atom type swimmer? I'll post some pics later if I get a chance at lunch time!
Thanks
Bryan
BTW They both fish outstanding, I fishem, not collect em!

The Bottom One
Below is the plug in question, the top is a deep danny, the bottom...? Looks like a Gibbs to me, but not sure...

Hate to say it, but to my eye, neither one looks like a Gibbs. The top one looks more like a Beachmaster Cowboy, and the bottom one looks like a wooden copy of an Atom 40.
Not that their being "other than Gibbs" is necessarily a bad thing They fish great, so it really doesn't matter much.

Somehow I will have to survive knowing they are not gibbs
I have fished the deep danny/cowboy already, swims nice, the white 40 looking thing will be fished tonight as it gets closer to a full moon
thanks

Hey, RockHound
That lower one, the 40 knock off. Strip the hooks off it.
Get a big fat eel skin and turn it Blue Side out and stuff that plug down into the skin till there is about four inches of tail hanging out back.
Tie it tight right behind the lip and trim it neat. Rig new hooks and put that plug out there where the big girls are feeding herring and look out.
Turn the lip up to get the plug down, turn the lip down to get the plug up.
Good Fishing.
