Nice night for some astronomy

Dark, clear skies and good seeing.

It was very clear, not much happening!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

It's a nice winter sky. Just after sunset you have Andromeda at a nice elevation, Jupiter was easily visible and the Moon wasn't so big to wash everything out. The equatorial plane was in full display with Pegasus, Cassiopeia, Perseus, Taurus, Gemini, Orion etc.. with a very dark southern sky.

Good star gazing for kids as there were plenty of easily visible items of interest early...

Now if I could just keep my son's attention for more than 30 seconds

Tonight, Jupiter and the moon are just a few degrees apart. Venus was bright and brilliant, but it has probably set by now.

There's nothing special, like a meteor shower, going on.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.
