I get a kick out of the goal: to break the sound barrier!

It would be an interesting turn of events if the diver does achieve that speed, but is knocked out by the sonic boom he causes, and failed to deploy his chute.
Then Red Bull becomes red stain.

Some thrill seekers really seem to have a death wish when they think up these gimmicks.

This has been done before... With a lot less technology.....

And the guy who did it lived and also think he broke the sound barrier which at that altitude is MUCH slower than at the surface since it depends on the temperature.

I think it is roughly 580 knots at the tropopause.....
