Know nothing about fishing the place but it is a beautiful spot right on the water. Have fun.

For the tarpon, spooks and swimming plugs work well, just make sure your hooks are sharp. Bonefish will take jigs slowly worked along the bottom ... people will use flat lead jigs with feather tails ... not too big ... for bones ... but live shrimp on a 1/0 hook should work well for them. The bones down there are smaller than you find in the keys ...

If you have a 7 weight or 8 weight fly rod, bring that for the bones.

Enjoy

I fished south of tulum 2 years ago, punta allen, what a blast, caught tons of fish, bones, permit, tarpon, barracuda, I know the barracuda likes white bodied red headed plugs, good luck, it's nice down there,
