Things done at the last possible minute are done with the greatest possible information. Procrastination is, therefore, the most efficient means of doing things.

We got clouded out here. But I've seen some memorable lunar eclipses in past years.

One was bailing bass on the flats in July, 1981, on the same lunar eclipse that Bob Rochetta caught the then-record off Orient Point.

Watching a Tom Petty concert at Jones Beach Theater during his "Full Moon Fever" tour--somehow appropriate

One great one was after the eruption of Mt Pinitubo in the Philippines a few years back, when there was a lot of hi-level ash in the air---rather than copper, the moon was an eggplant color during the total phase of the eclipse.
