100 most influential people
Time Magazine just published its list of 100
most influential people in the WORLD. I
scanned 16 names that I recognized,
Barak Obama, Pippa Middleton, Mitt Romney,
etc.--the usual suspects, but over 80 names
I have no clue who or what they are.
Now I am shocked at my own ignorance and
and need some help. Here are a few names
from the list selected randomly so you can tell
me if I need therapy.
Marc Andreessen
Preet Bharara
Pete Cashmere
Maryann Durani
Ron Fouchier
Goodluck Jonathan
Andrew Lo
Mario Monti
Elinor Ostrom
Ai-Jen Poo
Hans Rosling
Portia Simpson Miller
Barbara Van Dahlen
Wang Yang
Plus 80 other names. Who are these people.
Who does Time Magazine think they are
influencing. Certainly not me. How about you???
Oh, just some post-modern cultural crap to pass
the time until the keepers show!!

Pete Cashmere: he makes sweaters
Andrew Lo: Is J's brother

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio

It's a misprint.
It should read "100 most influencial subscribers"
Wonder how much is truth and how much is BS?
What does it cost to get your name on a "100 most..." list besides the 100 most wanted?
When you can't recognize at LEAST 50% of the names, it usually means that they have lowered their standards on what "we" call influential.
You know, when they lower flags around the country when Whitney Houten killed herself, or when the president is awarded a Nobel prize for something he hasn't succeeded in doing, then you can see where the "standards" have sunk to!

The key word there is WORLD. Not the most 100 influential people known to the average American.
Goodluck Jonathan---my favorite name among world leaders---is the president of Nigeria.

they are hardly losers.
These are the most important economists, researchers and leaders shaping the world we live in. Marc Andreesen basically invented modern day web browsing for christ sake, which is hilariously ironic as people call him a looser on a medium he basically created...

How can any list like that have any veracity when Pippa Middleton is equal to your buddy Marc Andreessen Zac? Zac....Zac. Any list Time Mag. publishes is suspect to any prudent ordinary person.

I get them at least once a week.
I get a few from the Lagos branch of the FBI, too, signed by the Director himself.

As usual I start a thread in a serious search for
the truff and you bunch of Jabronskis turn it into
a farce. Don't you realize that of the 16 unknown
names I posted only four have been identified by
about a dozen members of this website. That is
tragic. You are as big a bunch of losers as I am.
Zac hit it on the head--these are among the most
respected pinheads in the world and we don't
know about them. I am so ashamed I might start
drinking again. What did I do at college to be so
uninformed??
