Obama vs Romney
Two recent speeches given by Obama and vice president Goofy state that Romney does not have the credentials to be president, mostly they are citing Romneys handling of Bain. Please tell me what inspiring credentials does Obama have with his short time in public office starting in the Chicago senate mostly voting present on issues. Hope and change is all he had.
A recent TV video shows a couple of past workers for GST Steel speaking out against Romney and Bain. Why do they blame Romney? He had left Bain in 1999 prior to Bain take over of GST and going bankrupt in 2001. We all know that when a company is taken over there are lay offs, some benifits and yes no turkeys at Thanksgiving trying to keep a company afloat.
Bain has helped keep some companies afloat and some failed over time which is normal, can't save all troubled companies. What is Obamas track record helping green companies with our billions in tax dollars, all have failed or are in the process of failure.
Obamas best shot at saving a company has just about failed.
A new campaign ad from President Obama features a man who claims his job was saved by President Obama’s meddling in the auto industry. The company that the man works for, Johnson Controls, received $299 million in taxpayer-funded subsidies from the stimulus and promised to build two factories in America. They built one in America, and will build the other one in Hungary. Not only that, but Johnson Controls will be laying off workers in the coming months.
Oh yeah, and the company was just fined for using an unreasonable amount of lead. So much for a success. If that’s the best President Obama can do, Americans are in for a dire situation should he be re-elected and allowed to invest more of our money in these companies.
How say U?

I say you are 100% correct.
I admit I hate Obama, so it's hard for me to be fair. But if you compare Romney's resume right now, to what Obama's looked like in 2008? Please. In 2008, Obama had been a state senator who (1) voted "present" more than anyone else, and (2) acted in a way that allowed infanticide to be practiced. Then he spent 4 forgettable years in the US Senate where he did nothing of note, except to run for President. He has 2 things going for him, he's articulate, and he knows how to make people want to get out of his way because he's black.
McCain surged ahead of Obama in every poll after he picked Palin. McCain stayed ahead in every poll, until the economy collapsed.
I think Obama's going down. His polling numbers are nothing short of horrible for an incumbent at this stage. The best poll I've seen has it tied at 45-45, with 10% undecided. At this stage, the vast majority of undecideds do not usually swing for the incumbent.
I predict one of two things. Either Romney wins handily, or it all comes down to Ohio. Obama won FL, NC, and VA in 2008. He'll likely lose all 3 in November.
Romney was a governor, and he founded and ran Bain capital. That's a more impressive resume than "law professor, community organizer, do-nothing senator, author of biographies".
The libs are attacking Bain capital. Some venture capital firms can seem predatory, but try telling that to Sports Authority, which got funding from Bain to start-up. Sometimes the best answer is to shut a company down. Obama flushed a cool $500 million at a company that went belly-up, and he's complaining that Bain wasn't willing to flush every last cent down the toilet to keep some of these companies open for another year?
More evidence that liberals don't understand how business works. Think how clueless you have to be about all things economic to believe that wealth is (1) finite, or (2) bad.

Romney was a pretty good governor in my opinion. Not the greatest but good and capable.
As for Bain, he was behind the success of many company's including the start up of Staples Office Superstore back in the 80's

The only issue I have w/ Bain, and I don't fault him on his sucess, but needs to stop touting himself as a venture capitillist, which is much different than a private equity firm. Remember, Romney brought the jobs record into this discussion, making it IMHO fair game. It is clear Bain did make some decisions that could have been handled differently, but were legal and made Bain a lot of money.
I fall into the Steve Rattner and Cory Booker camp on Bain I guess.
I'd prefer they didn't go after him for it. I think Romney's flips and flops have left him vulnerable enough. To quote the Jack Ryan line from Clear and Present Danger, "I'd give them no where to go". Push Romney as far right on issues as possible and furhter right away from his past opinions. This election will be about independents, not the far Right. They will vote R no matter what with the Anyone by BHO stance.
I'd make Romney's Massachusetts success look as much like Obama as possible. Then point out his take on GM, his past gun-rights statements and such... Hang him with his own words....
There is a reason that Romney is touting Bain experience and not Massachusetts, and that stems from not wanting to look to liberal... I'd rather see Obama and the left approach those angles...

Words I thought I would never admit or say.
I miss Bill Clinton as president.
For all his playing around with young girls and involvement with Whitewater
No on though he was a stupid man or wanted to turn this country into a society of entitlement for deadbeats !
Obama can drop dead tomorrow and I'll start the celebration !

This is just the beginning of a long and dirty election campaighn.
If Obama's adds start out with two GST workers talking about Romney
he's in trouble. He has no record to run on accept his nod on killing Bin Laden.
He will blame Bush, say without the bailouts we would be in a deep depression,
sheer conjecture, and knock Romney back to his teenage years.
He can do little but knock Romney.
I will say in his defense, being a mind reader and knowing Romney would
not give the OK on Bin Laden is a plus.
People are angry and fed up no matter who or where I talk to them.
Middle America won't forget his open mike statement in front of the elite,
"They cling to their guns and Bible."
He's not for the middle class, he had his own socialistic agenda since day one, and instead of doing what's best for the country and the economy wasted the first 2 years working on
healthcare. "It's the economy stupid."

watched MSNBC yesterday - on hotel lobby tv - so no opportunity to change
I didnt realize Al Sharpton had a tv show on politics. All the show was about was bashing ROmney and Bain. Who in their right mind would watch a show on politics with Sharpton hosting? It was ridiculous.

I bet the same thing could be said about listening to a show about politics hosted by a guy name limbaugh.
On one if you don't agree with him you hate Blacks.
On the other if you don't agree with him you hate America.

Yep. Al Sharpton has the 7:00 time slot on MSNBC. Hard to believe, but true. Don't worry. You were one of probably eleven people watching that day, so he isn't doing any damage.

" bet the same thing could be said about listening to a show about politics hosted by a guy name limbaugh"
Yes, the same thing could be said, but it would be a questionable thing to say. How many riots has Rush Limbaugh incited? Rush has contempt for people who, for example, support the slaughter of 4,000 babies a day, and for people who would coddle terrorists. Sharpton hates people who were born white. Rush has the largest audience of any entity in the media, by a huge, huge margin. Sharpton would be a joke, if he wsn't so potentially dangerous.
I'm no fan of Rush. I agree with him on most issues, but I don't like his style. However, he's not on par with Sharpton in terms of hate or stupidity.
