Hi winch, good to see you here
Goose, I have some sad news about a picture of a certain bass caught on a ledgerunner, the camera got saltwater in it I don't know if the film will come out and really doubt it.
So,,,,,,,, is this the HAPPY SITE?

Slip,
I am over on the Vineyard fishing. The weather sucks, the fishing is OK. been fishing the Middleground. In between tides I have been drifting the rocks below Monickey (not sure of the spelling) and fishing those little Danny's I copied from the swap. I've been fishing them real slow in the wash, with the tail breaking the surface. I got two shorts in about an hour. Nothing else was moving fish. Thanks for the pattern.

I'm glad to hear it NIB and Assinippi. Enjoy what's left of your vacation Fred try squid down deep at middleground or wire trolling deep with some deepdiver. Sucks about this weather.

The rips have been fine on top using Carrots. Lots of hits, probably hooking up 10% of the time. It's worth the show to watch them smack a pencil up in the air 4-5 times in a retrieve through that first wave. I will be over here until Weds night so I have lots of opportunities yet.
I hate wire.
#^^^^^^^^^^^&,
Bring BIG flies. The flie rodders I have seen in the rips have been doing great. I will keep my eye out for your tomorrow. There has been some surface activity with squid jumping clear of the water and bass chasing them.

#^^^^^^^^^^^&,
I missed seeing the bannana barge. I didn't get out to the rip until the afternoon. The morning weather sucked. We got out around 3 for a couple of hours. The wind went flat and the fishing was a blast. I used some 1 oz Orange pencil poppers that I originally made for Xmas tree ornaments and had a blast. Between myself and my 11 year old son we must have had close to a 100 hits with a dozen legal fish to 36" boated and released.
Around 5:30 we called my wife and had her come down for a boat ride. In the process of giving her a ride we somehow caught 3 more fish, one of which ended up being supper.
Most of the fish on this trip have come to my home made plugs with the few others coming to Ledgerunners. Life is great!

COOL! We didn't end up getting down there, the wx was crappy up north, and with the tide opposing the wind at a 45 degree angle it was snotty so we stuck around up there. NEXT WEEKEND!!!!!

doodly neither of us felt like traveling 18 miles in that slop down and 18 back to fish down there...we considered it but with 25 knot winds all morning it wasn't the smartest of things to do....and we didn't miss much judging by the reports from everyone yesterday.
