What a difference a week makes....

Last week I hit my favorite bridge spot with nothing to show and nothing to tell.
Last night I hit the same spot and the bass were blitzing to beat the band. The only challenge was finding the right lure to get them to attack.

Main reason I bring a variety of lures, in various sizes and colors.
Makes "matching the hatch" a lot less difficult.

I had one explosive strike almost rip the rod out of my hands, and I was ready for it and it still gave me a pain in the shoulder.
Actually, when I think of it now, it may not have been a matter of matching the hatch, but dumb luck, as I recall on a number of cast feeling my lure and line hitting more fish than I can recall.

Anyway, I managed 6 fish (1 keeper) for the trip.

Just when I was starting to lose interest in fishing (EGADS!!!) I got an energizing jolt to regain my zest for the hunt!
