We have a ceremony here at NWC each year. Solemn day.

The Naval War College's Patriots Memorial consists of a section of limestone removed from the damaged portion of the Pentagon.

I literally just passed Ray Kelly on the street coming in this morning. I work now @ 1 Liberty Plaza directly across the street from the Centers. Very solemn and quiet in downtown Manhattan today, just the way we like it. Obviously a lot of police presence, never mind the people we can't see like the SEALS. It's great to finally see some progress down here after all those years. The tide is turning for the better. Loved one's still come and put pictures or flowers up of their loved one's lost today, all those firefighters, police, and civilians who lost their lives for no reason, I pray for them, and more importantly their families every day. Those are the real heroes.

God keep watch on those who protect us.

That day was surreal. I was on a construction site that just shut down as we gathered dumbstruck around a radio.

Today( this date) is one of the few days each year that I dont have to ask what the date is...11 years have passed... but it's as fresh in my mind as if it just happend...only the shock has diminished.

A good run is better than a bad stand!

It was also a Tuesday just like today.

My 5 year old daughter asked me this morning what this day meant as my wife and I mentioned something to each other about it. I honestly didn’t know how to answer her. She is so young and innocent and I honestly didn’t know how to say what happened without her being afraid.

I simply told her that some bad people hurt our country and that they got in big trouble for it. I told her that when she gets older she would understand………….

I lost 3 friends from Sapient on the 5th floor of the second tower,

Tragic day, I can still remember watching TV (home office) while having a coffee break in shock watching it all unfold and then wondering if I should leave for a scheduled camping-fishing trip in northern maine. We decided too much planning had and shopping had already taken place, but it was erie camping with nothing in the skies each night be stars.

God bless.

I watched from 45th and 5th Ave as the second tower buckled right to the ground as I was on my way home to my pregnant wife and 9 month old daughter. I never seen something come down to the ground that quick. People were crying in the streets, other's were shocked, others were praying, while others were wandering around aimlessly, it was all cereal at the time. The thing about it was that everybody was TOGETHER. No riots, looting, shouting, fighting, nothing. That's where NY gets a bad rap imo.

A great friend worked high up in the North Tower, I went to his house first (on the way home to mine) and waited. He said he saw some papers flying around outside and instinct took over and he got out as quickly as possible leaving his wallet, car keys, he just knew. Thank god he was fine. I went home that night and I lived off first Ave on Upper East at the time, everybody had lit candles as far as the human eye could see. Spontaneous singing of God Bless America which I'll never forget to this day.

Roller-bladed down to Ground Zero the next day to give blood, help out, do anything, something. The amount of soot still was unbearable, I was wearing a bandanna over my face. Nothing was to be done on my end (not even give blood in Chelsea Piers Triage Center) except cheer the convey of military vehicles rolling down the West Side Highway. Proud New Yorkers handing out water, food, whatever to the troops coming into help.

The amount of fireman there on the scene was infinity. Everybody had home made signs out, one was on piece of wood and in red it said, "You just made US stronger." I get chills to this day reading that sign! I'm going to go home tonight and give extra hugs and I love you's to the family.

My memory was jolted this morning when I saw an anniversary announcement for Amy Jarret, a United Airlines flight attendant on Flight 175 that struck the WTC. Definitely a day to remember for the toll it took on American lives.

Sure didn't take the poleticians long to forget with their actions against police an firemen all across the country.Still don't remeber any poleticians running into those buildings to try to save anyone.May all those that risked an lost their lives be remebered reverently.

I'm sure there is a special place in heaven for those that sacrificed themselves for their fellow man.....just as surely as there is a special place in hell for those that would willingly do harm to their fellow man.

In the grand scheme of things, guess who is remembered more frequently and with greater pride and joy?

God bless all that paid the ultimate sacrifice that day, and the days that followed.

There is few days in ones life that they will NEVER forget. The day my father died...the day my son was born....and September 11,2001. This is more than a reminder to never forget that pops up on the anniversary of this day each year. It stays with me every day. Every day I work I have in the back of my mind how fast this life I take for granted can disappear in a heart beat. The 343 fire fighters, 16 police officers and countless civilians never had a chance. It makes me angry how this was carried out and we had such a massive loss of life. Not only on this day but the eleven years of war that followed. The countless numbers of service men and women that gave the ultimate sacrifice so that you and I can have the freedom we enjoy. Thank you to all five branches of our awesome military.

Fall River had its annual 9-11 ceremony at the state memorial for 9-11 at Battleship Cove. As usual, there was a good turn out, if you came....thanks for coming.

Next time he calls - extend our thanks. If he and his unit need any goodie packages in the coming months, let us know. I don't think Amazon likes me much after sending several hundred packets of handwarmers to the unit of a friend of mine last December. Free Shipping with Amazon Prime.

I will always remember standing under the sag. during the no fly time and thinking about how I would get off the cape if bridge was blown up. Didn't feel like things would ever feel remotely the same.

No, no, no. we’re 30… 30, three zero.

I have to admit its still a day of hate for me. No matter where the remembering starts off , it always ends in thoughts of hate for those who did it.
