Hull bait paint

Have any of you folks heard of painting bait on the hull of your boat to attract fish? I saw a post on another site and this guy was looking for the stencil kit. I was wondering if this actually worked and since I trailer my boat if the bait would go bad out of the water?

Paint with Bait?

Many of the boats that fish for Sailfish out of southeast Florida paint images of Goggle-eyes, the most popular live bait fish, on their boat bottoms.
At $75 a dozen, which is the going price for live Goggle-eyes, why not? Can't hurt.
I've also seen it done elsewhere with images of Squid.
