New England casters?

Just wandering if you guys are still picking fish? Down here on Long Island its been a bit rough. From what I understand they are still hitting them hard in boats but for us surf guys it has been way more miss than hit as of late. I may pack it in if this weekend turns empty..

Hit or miss for sure

Thanksgiving weekend I fished 4 days at least 20+ hours of casting.
Results were a few small bass and blues.

Sunday, I hit a nice bass, a few schoolies and a couple small blues. Once the sun came up the wind started blowing like snot and made line control impossible.

Fished 1 night this week, nada...

I will hit the beach this weekend and next just because I am truly addicted.

There are plenty of Gannets feeding, hopefully, there are some fish that swim by within casting range.

1 @ 32 Pledge. Our beloved Striped Bass are in trouble AGAIN.

I fished through the lean years and don't want to live through another collapse of the stock.

2 fish @ 28" is ridiculous.

Hope there's still fish around. I'm headed to Montauk tomorrow to try for one last hurrah. Doesn't look promising though. I drove from Cupsogue to Amaganset on Wednesday and found almost no life along the beaches.

I caught my last fish 3 weeks ago..

Does your incessant whining make you feel better? How about you just shut the hell up and suck it up? It's a fishing forum , so please just stop.

I like the "more miss than hit" way of putting it.... They are there... just tough to find... Conditions are less than ideal right now but I found fish over thanksgiving weekend... not giving up yet

I was fishing the beach, the teaser was the go-to. Small fish but a lot of fun.

Bill I was outside last night thinking man it's raw out here. I wonder if anyone's out in the surf. I should of guessed you'd be trying. Good Luck. Maybe that lost cow will find your hook.

fished in a snow/sleet blow sat am with not a bump. Sunday was warm, surf was nice, no fish, no gannets, no bait. This is my last week unless something changes...

We still have small ones around up here .Probably hold overs. The Pine Point marsh an the Mousam are where I'm fishing lookin for Sea Runs. Mainly using a fly rod with small flies an gettin a bass or 2 from time to time. Finally did get a couple sea runs in the Mousam around 17 in an a freind got 4 above the bridge in the pool in Ogunquit. Cold fishin but there are a few to be caught. Ron
