Cool

shad is a great live bait but keeping one alive is another story. the best i have done is keeping one alive for 2 days. sometimes they don't even make it back to the dock. best bet is to get and fish with them right away. handle them as little as possible when catching them on rod and real. Don are you going to get involved in the ASA JUNE MOON at snug harbor?

Hi Ross,
Thanks for the info on the shad, thing is I can catch them right at my dock at sunset, I'd love to bring some over to the block, but wasn't sure if they would survive the night in the penn, and then make the trip in the livewell in the morning....

I'd love to fish the ASA this weekend, but my fishing would be limited to noon on both days. The wife is working this weekend so I have the kids.

I might bring the kids down to Snug Harbor for the weigh ins, what time are they? Is Jason fishing with you guys?
