glad I didn't pay for the tix
that was brutal
F%^$
there goes the first round bye and homefield
SF has a really good defense and they showed up last night
too late for our comeback, showed a lot of fight though
very frustrating

WOW
I didn't think SF was that good, and to think how many points they left on the field in the 1st half, especially the exchange from center to the kid at quarterback.

Those points are a wash with the points the Pasts left with bad luck turnovers - which SF capitalized on.
Great rally, the hole was just a litttle too big.

Pat's wore them down in the end.. it was there for them to at least tie.. this team has grit.. this game will help them some day.
I agree.... alot of mental mistakes....I tip the hat to San Fran...If they meet again, the outcome will be differant.. they got away with alot of interferance and at least one spearing penaly.. a differant crew may have called it alot differantly...it's not the reason the Pat's lost.. but it didn't help...the refs let them play... so it was even...
and anyone that want's to play yhe "San Frn flew across the county card" remeber....Pat's played a hard fought, emotional game on Monday night... I'm sure it had an effect.

There is no such thing s bad luck turnovers, its a turn over cause you did something to give it, its not a seagull flew down there and swatted the ball.......

lots of mental errors on both sides of the ball. special teams not so special. secondary had a bad night. niner's are a very good team- we'll see them again in no. the fake punt was killer. #3 seed ain't bad- i think the bye is overated, only good thing is healing, but you can loose your edge.

It was a great comeback attempt and an exciting game to watch but in fact we got our butt kicked last night. They owned us through 3 quarters. Obviously the wet cold football was hard for both teams to hang on to . Turn overs always hurt. Oh well , got to look ahead , does no good to look back at such a disasterous performance.. Maybe we can learn something from the films that will help us in the playoffs.

Historical statistics say otherwise. I was listening on the SportsHub a while back and they were going over Superbowl winners with/without a bye week and the numbers were staggeringly in favor of teams that only have to win 3 playoff games as opposed to 4.
I think the bye week is huge for recovery, rest and mental fatigue.

I only watched the 1st half but seems to me turnovers were a result of Niners good defensive play rather than Pats bad offensive play.

niners had at least 5 turnovers too, maybe more, they just got lucky and got ball. Not saying Pats play was good. They dug a big hole and deserved to get beat

50/50 the past 10 years..... 5 teams w/ a bye won the superbowl and 5 teams without it have won the superbowl
