I know he show cases Tal Wilkenfeld in this piece but I'm totally mezmorized by the playing of Mr. Beck himself . Playing with his fingers (look talced) in some unconventional way working the volume knob and the wammy bar at the same time . The guitar is sweet ,, squaks ,, barks .. The number of sounds he gets and the way he tastefully puts them together is fantastic .. This is a Jeff Beck clinic .. Who plays like this ?? Jeff Beck .. He just keeps getting better .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v...ture=endscreen
agreed..Beck always surrounds himself with top notch.. this 4 some, IMHO was his finest...Vinnie on the drums, Jason on keyboards, Tal on the Sadowsky bass, along with..again, IMHO, the best of the guitar gods... Vinnie broke off to go with Tal for an album and a tour or too, think Jason was involved as well.. Beck tours with a different set of background players now.. love to see them get together again.
Had to put this tune in here, although not Beck, it is a real quality album from 1977 with a lot of Beckish style sound on this tune. Lee would give anyone a run for their money, but he was a west coast studio player, a style all its own, more than a well known rock star like Beck. . I think you will like the tune.
