Where have you been

Mackerel are all over the place and have been for the last 3-4 weeks. Mac's are from Boston to Maine. Reports of giant blue fin tuna taken off of Newburyport gouging on Mac's Tuna are in the 400lb class.

I think we caught 300 lbs. last night. 180 fish jigged while striper fishing. We caught 2 mackeral with an eel like parasite hanging off of them. Possibly a lamprey eel? Looked like a 6" eel with a suckers mouth. Well anyway, the mack with eel teaser worked great! Van, the 30's have arrived!

TRO,

Yes those are sea lamprey. I got a couple also this week. No idea how one of those can catch a macky. They swim awfully fast!! They are a parasitic fish that will eventually weaken and kill their host.

Nice,, on the big fish, I have not gotten any large YET !!!!
Hopefully this weekend. (Sunday). Buddy of mine pulled a 38 lb'er earlier this week....

See ya,,,
