Trout Gear Help
So my Aunt called, wants to get rid of all there trout gear, both her and my Uncle went to Montana every year. So I met for lunch, took a few pictures, but it would take me days to try to open the boxes and boxes of flies. I don't have a clue how to help her, I'm guessing trying to find someone interested might be best. Otherwise I'd have to offer to take all the gear and peck away on ebay this coming winter. For rods its an AbuGarcia GF8056 and LL Bean Graphite 8'6" 5-6 weight, Cabellas Three Fork 8' for 5 weight. There are some old Martin reels, Prestige from Cabelas, Reeddington RS and some other Cabela's reels. Flies on flies on flies, must be hundreds of flies, plus the usual vests, walking sticks and on and on. Any suggestions, love my Aunt, but man not being a trout guy I'm lost.

I wouldn't count out trout fishing just yet.
You might want to keep some gear for yourself, just in case the striper stocks start heading downhill again from overfishing.
But seriously, have you ever tried fly fishing for stripers?
It's challenging but equally rewarding.
If you can find the time, you could try selling in the Classified forum here. (Don't forget pictures!)

Try one of the local flyfishing sites.
"FlyfishingNewEngland.net"
Pictures would be very helpful.

Nothing jumps out at me on the rods & reels. Useful, but nothing of crazy value.
Flies are tough... Old flies could be rusty, moth eaten, or in perfect shape. Tough to tell.
Vests & sticks could hold a little value, but again, probably won't get too much on ebay.
IMO I would break it up into starter kits- rod, reel, vest and flies... Everything you need to get fishing. List ASAP for best prices, or wait till before christmas or next March (when people are loading up for the next season).
Definitely need pics.
