YOU know your tired or not awake when.........
when i go to pour my coffee creamer into the jar of instant coffee.
when you have to drive back home to figure out where you were going in the first place because you've now forgotten.
When you get back from the store having bought all kinds of nice stuff but you didnt get what you went there for.

HA! That reminds me of a time I made myself a cup of instant coffee to take on the road.
I got my travel mug, added cream and sugar and put the water on to boil. When the water was ready I poured it into the mug, put the cap on and hit the road.
Now... I have to tell you when I took a sip of that hot water with cream and sugar, less the coffee grounds, that woke me right up!
Now I just take it black! There is no mistaking between coffee and hot water.

When you wake up at 4:00 to go fishing before work and start driving to work instead of the honey hole.

My wife's not pissed anymore so she said I can post this. Obviously have you all beat when it comes to doing strange things when tired. The assistant principal at the elementary school called around noon to ask what I had packed in my 7 year old's lunch this morning. I said, "Peanutbutter and jelly, yogurt with sprinkles and a juice bag." She replied, "Well you got two out of three, it wasn't a juicebag, it was a Bud Light." I remember seeing the juicebag in the fridge behind some soda and beer cans, have no recollection of putting it in with her lunch. The assistant principal was just calling to say I made her laugh at a time she really needed it.

When you leave your house early to go to the herring run to get bait for Mr. Sprinkles and Chris, and half-way there realize that you have no idea about the "short cut" you are taking to the run; as you have just moved and never gone from point A to point B.

set the truck up with the livewell, and stuff. spend a couple of hours stocking it with buckeys, drive about an hour or so to the ditch and realize you forgot your floating basket and have no buckets. this was about a month ago
