Weekend Plans?
Whatcha doin?
I'm going to give some holdover schoolies a shot this afternoon. Did not have success the first time but the conditions were not the best. Hopefully today will be a little more conducive to a tight line...
Other plans? Might give the boat show a whirl this weekend and I'm going to swing by and see Mike T Monday... Need to get some more rod stuff...
Good luck!!

Oh well, didn't make it there in time and between the rain and wanting to hear the news on Iraq... Maybe tomorrow.
MikeT - are you going to be there tomorrow? I may need to swing by then instead....

Taking a break from fishing, due to another cold/windy forecast for the weekend. Got 2 of the Ti (Titanium) Lamiglass blanks in and I'm going to get started on the handles this weekend. Interesting looking blank with a couple feet of butt all covered in the metal. I've talked to a couple Bass tournament types who say they are the most sensitive blanks they have fished with. I'm all for senstitive, but need it to be durable as well. Hope I'm not disappointed down the road, but they do have a lifetime warranty. One is a 7 foot spinning and the other is 7 ft 6 inch conventional.
John maybe next week we can hook up. Can you get free during the week at all, or just weekends? This time of year, weather is the key, at least that's my experience thus far. My best days have followed a warmup and it seems that even a brief air temp increase and a degree or two in the water, make all the difference.
Tight lines.

No prob. I'm thinking of making my parts run to MikeT tomorrow and try some schoolies in the afternoon... I need to run a few errands for my wife as well... I'll see if I can get a day towards the end of next week if everyone in my group is in the office... I really could use a 6 hour mini-vacation to lovely CT

I don't know if I'd call it lovely CT ha-ha. Someone in their infinate wisedom allowed a dump on one side of the river and some days I actually would pray for a good stiff breeze. One day the smell of burning plastic was really strong and a nice breeze out of the NW would have been nice.
Norwich isn't the garden city of CT, but it's got a whole pant load of schoolies to make up for it. Tight lines.

Clammer,
I need to go today becuase I'm running some errands in Mass but maybe I could swing by Monday and look at those rods... Still some time before things kick in...
Jenn, if you are looking for a self-contained rig for your truck and to do the beach buggy thing, you may consider joining Mass Beach Buggy Assoc. They have great resources as far is buggy gear and such... http://www.mbba.net

Thanks John...actually I have seen there site and was hoping to join.....it isnt so much the know how or where to etc....but the the money and the means! HA!HA! we had a little 10' trailer that we sold this fall (small but everything worked) however it needed more work than we were willing to put into it.
I have been daydreaming of scoring a truck camper so we can just park our butts on the beach and never have to leave! We usually stay in a campground and I really thought it would be cool to not have to pack, unpack, air up, air down, blah, blah, blah, eveytime we wanted to fish!!! Oh my! I had better stop thinking about it so much because it will drive me crazy!!!! I can practically feel the moisture in my clothes and the salt spray on my lips............

norwich is definately not the garden of Ct . Man that place needs better management it does have good fishing though . Almost as bad as Bridgeport or new haven . But every state has them cities for RI its providence ( good hockey team ) and college ladies , new york has the bronx I havent found anything good there yet . Ive got to take some time off and go fishing this cabin is ready to take the life out of me .
