took a ride south

we had a liittle weather window so we put together a plan to chase some palagics. dangles was at the helm and the crew was fish4striper, myself, and chris's buddy who just got back from fishing the obmst. a couple of hours south we put out a spread and starting bouncing from one high flyer to the next. first area seemed to have some life/bait but no takers. headed further south to some nice blue water and started hanging mahi. after beating on them for a while we decided to spend the last couple of hours sharking. didn't take long before a little mako found a mahi bait and took it. little guy came in quick and put up a fuss at the boat. had visions of him flipping himself into the boat. we had a white marlin in the spread and saw something good size jump several times a few hundred yards away but couldn't tell what it was. got my first mahi so that was pretty cool. a good long day. thanks chris and jeff
