i was fishing saturday night, in some very calm, very high water, and was tossing 9" rubber, and working it very slowy on top, had fish bumping it, and or maybee inhaling it, and spitting it before i could set the hook. what were they doing, and what could i have done differently to trigger an aggressive strike ? my fishing partner took 3 on slowww top water pluggs...

I think Fishweewee had mentioned he was making a limited production plug out of C4 that would get those picky fish in calm water

I was fishing the same water, the same nigh with the same results.

I started at the creek but it seemed a little like combat fishing. Lots of Kitchen Passes that night. I moved to the ditch for a while, but got the same results.

Lightbulb hey pops02

just for the heck of it try some scent ! when they are bite shy

i never go fishing with out it... and smell travels faster thru water

than sound does thru the air. keep experimenting!

take some rubber and throw it in with some mackeral your

soon to be using for chunk bait. make it stink lol

Anything to make them hang onto it for a second or two longer.
