My September fishing sucks

Usually it's the month I really look forward to, but the results this year are dismal.... Have had to cancel going to the Derby too... Only bright side is I got a text from someone who has been catching on a spook I made, and that I have work scheduled.

I took the last week Of the month off to fish hard based on the last couple of years late September blitzes. There were some signs this weekend that things are ivmproving but I agree, so far I t has been dismal. Water still warm and plenty of fish north of us....

It'll pick up Ross... we had some REALLY nice fish around last week... the fishing for large last all of 2 days... they've been replaced by little guy's...I blame Bruce...every time I bring him north the good ones dissapear ( just kidding... he's a blast to fish with.. wish we lived closer)...one of these times when he comes up.. they'll still be here... the fish have been moving for over a month now... it's been periods of fast fishing followed by what seems like longer periods of hard fishing ( the normal over rated over hyped fall run)... every night/or tide is differant ( and getting cold)... ... you'll hang 'em... just keep fishing... we dont have alot of time left north of Boston...in 29 days my boat has to be off the dock( and I'll fish just about every one of them)... then it's waders or the couch...winters a long time passing..

A good run is better than a bad stand!

I have to agree with you guys, at least in Narr Bay. I spent a total of 10 hours this weekend on my boat. Plugs, rubber, tubes, lead core line, eels, nothing of any consequense to show for it. very slow. Not even bluefish in the upper bay.

Granted I really didn't go far south but did hit Bonnet, Anawan, Beavertail and Hull. Very quiet almost eerily so.

No boat, back in the suds.

like Joe said, you'll hit them one of these times, moon coming up, get out and try

hit or miss down here too in Sept.

I like fishing in shorts and sneakers in 50 degree weather
thanks again Joe

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

If it weren't for my freshwater excursions I wouldn't have any fish stories to tell at all!

Saltwater fishing this year has been abysmal at best.
Not just because there haven't been anty fish around, but I haven't been able to get out as much as I wanted.

I have some more fishingvacation days coming up and if things don't improve, I will skip the salt and focus on fresh.

and look forward to ice fishing season with bated breath....

I am a legend in my own mind!

Finally found some fish in the area we discussed Ross, you had to work for them and nothing that big, but the action was decent.

The falls around here have sucked for the past few years if you ask me. It's just so hit and miss...
