Well you figured I was goimg to pipe in when I saw this thread.
Some Bass, Lotsa Blues, but albies ?

How about a lot of bass, no more blues than you will find anywhere else. Bonito, Albie's, spanish mackeral, cod, weaks, tuna 30-60 miles off, canyons 70 miles south with Marlin, Yellowfin, wahoo, etc.
Beach fishing is excellent. Rarely competitive, so little trash that what you see can be cleaned up in a flash and a LATE fall.
Can be windy but most times that works to your advantage.
Basswise 43 lbs. is my biggest.491/2 " with a 2oz Atoms on an October afternoon.
September is a great time to come out. Mostly Jersey guys (sorry John, not New yawkees) but good fishing with early september usually holding albies, bonito until the North winds show and then 2 monthes of superb Bass hunting. Evening Striper fishing off the beach in July & August. In the day head off the east side of the island and fish the rips until your arms fall off.

We are actually quite content that the "other" island get's all the attention. I am trying to remember the last time I went out in the early evening in September and had to leave a spot because it was busy.

Keep in touch and I can send you some more specific info as to what I know.

Which isn't that much but somehow I still land fish.
