They'd better be farm raised and tagged when they come through the back door.

And/or report it to the local authorities. While we can bitch about it being on the menu and theorize as to where it came from, the only way anything will actually happen is if something is done about it.

Sexy city roll is a delicious roll, made with rice, 9" of firm unagi sheathed in tender coney island whitefish.

Call me ignorant but isn't it commercial season time in mid atlantic states about now? Why could one not assume that it was legally caught in say Maryland or wherever, bought and sold through dealers to end up at your local sushi place?

Simplify.......

Thier are people in the mid-atlantic states that think the commercial season starts on february 1st and ends on december 31st. We read about it all the time. Jenn you may be correct though

That is correct. And many places try to pass off farm-raised hybrids as 100% striper, hit any China-Town in a major US city and some stores have tanks of them live passing it off as 100% striper.

Talking um yeahhh

the original post.... ohhh .... well.... since you asked
is about "strangely offered seafood" from who knows where
it could be smuggled in... from ....anywhere... even from overseas
and as only JUST 2% of imported seafood is inspected
it could be from tainted waters, or polluted waters
including a shrimp farm say.... with chicken coops above it
with chickens sh itting into the water a bacterial nightmare

the image of a river in china with dead bloated floating pigs comes to mind instantly
that all have had swine flu that were gorged upon by big nasty tiger mosquito's that bit villagers
some of whom traveled here to work in that same restaurant cutting that fish....for you to eat

5 people just died this past week from SWINE FLU in Texas
these feral hogs are heading this way at an alarming rate
they have already made it as far north as NEWYORK State
soon they will be heading east.... too (mark my words)

WHAT better way to exterminate them than with inbreeding
some glowing sow's with wild boars so the glow in the dark trait gets passed on to the next generation...see

then we can take some of that blood and inject into some seals
so ORCA's can better see them to eat them all...up
it's the DOMINO theory ...one thing leads to another
yeah that's the ticket....
