New Dust Hood
So I finally finished my dust hood for my lathe. She's not the prettiest girl at the dance, but she's all mine. Got the plexiglass for free from work. The wood skeleton for the hood is mahogany....it's all I had for hard wood. Anyway, hope you guys like it. The only piece that isn't mahogany is the rail...I didn't have a piece that long.

I'll have to have you over the shop ( you work within 3 miles of my house) if i ever get in there..I haven't turned a single plug yet.. too busy with ice fishing and other work related stuff thanks to the cold and snow..

Hey Rock, I'm down at the Natick Jordans now in a supervisor role, but I still live in Peabody, so getting to your place would be no issue. Let me know and maybe one of these days we can plan something.

Pretty cool. I just use a small magnetic hood. I think about building one sometimes but I kind of like having 6" of wood chips around my lathe.
makes finding pencils and sandpaper a challenge

I thought you were in the Reading one.. ( we have spent booko bucks there in the past)...if you're driving 128, I'm only a few minutes down the road from Rt 129... I'm home most week nights... weekends are for fishing as long as I have safe ice within a reasonable drive..
