did you get a reciept?
all money transactions guarentee that you get a reciept if requested. then if there's any illegal activity you have proof of the transaction. The company name has to be on the top.
it sounds totally fishy! i'd call the B.B.B and check it out futher.

Stay off 16. That is the Coast Guard emergency frequency.
NEVER, EVER glog that up with anything less than emergency requests or reports.

I second the advice to ask the harbor master. I'd talk to him face to face.

Beachwalker,
Ch 16 is both the emergency frequenct and a calling ahannel. Its perfectly alright to call another vessel on channel 16 and then switch to another channel to talk. The C.G. usually uses channel 22.

Mako,
I stand corrected. But I did have the Station commander in Rhode Island tell me those exact words 10 years ago. They monitor both and would hope that people do not stay on 16 longer than one communication.
Thanks, though
