1st trip to block island

So weekend before last we dragged my Carolina classic 25 down to RI and headed towards block. (Actually we went right by) 1st stop was the horns area in search makos...after 15 gallons of chum they were not cooperative. ...ended up boating close to 20 blues sharks.
So after 12 hrs of sharkin we headed to blocks south west ledge. Got there about a he before dark and caught one after another sea bass... (shortys) then once the lights went out we switched gears and broke out the eels and we were rewarded with bass 25-39 lbs including my new personal best 39lbr.... we each kept one bass.....overall great trip
Boat goes back to the Merrimack this weekend :/

Both me and my bud ( he got a 32lb fish) admitted the fish was actually not great tasting ( haddock spoils me).....last time I keep a striper that big. Next time I want one for the grill a 28-30" will fit the bill.

Was that an invite?

I'd love to do this, but timing with me can be a royal PITA. I'm VERY interested though.
