Smile JohnR or Mikecc, need help

BC would like to get some info from you about those ceramic bearings for the baitcasting reel. Can he use those in his Calcutta 400's. Seems like he is replacing reg bearings every year in these reels and it is getting costly. He is almost better off buying a new reel if this keeps up. So if you guys or anyone else has any info it would be greatly appreciated. You can either post it here or email it to him.
Thanks in advance!!!

FW - the ceramic bearings are expensive - $35 + for the set. I have seen problems with some shimano bearings rusting so it might be best to find some Abec 7s for a bit less to use. He also might need to lube the bearings more to keep the corrosion away...

Thanks JohnR and DaveS, I will pass the info on, he does lube it alot. But even though those ceramic bearings are expensive, will they last longer than the original ones?

FW - I've heard yes & no. They are dry bearings so no lube is nice BUT they cna and will fail - just question of when. I have them in my Abu but not my Calcutta (which I'm fishing more this year)
