Pork chop partner

Looking for some one that has a wet suit and submersible reel with the correct gear to fish Block. Been on the island 20 nights so far this season. I have a vehicle there and usually take the high speed out of Pt Judith and fish all night returning the next morning 1st thing. Need to be in shape to move all night. Deep wading and some short swimming if conditions allow, nothing crazy. Nothing personal but I don't smoke or drink.......................I go to fish and throw all night. Only time I stop is when I am changing locations. 8 fish over 40 from the surf, no a guru but I do ok. PM me with your info if you are interested.

Yea, 20 years ago that was my thing. I'd be wrecked for a week.

You might get more bites if your screen name wasn't "headhunter"

The headhunter reference is to those big head shakes when you know your into a quality fish. Spent 30 minuets in neck deep water getting bashed by waves to revive a 36 a few of weeks ago, 30 minuets!! It wasn't any fun ; )

I know you from years ago at "The Fire beach". Unfortunately, the years have caught up to me and I can't do that anymore. I'd love to join you but I'd be the millstone around your neck.

No boat, back in the suds.

He's still as cranky and grumpy as when we crawled black point to fire beach...

Bobby: can't do the island, but I moved west, so I'll be seeing you around....

Hi John.
Every time I step on that Island and get geared up I expect to stick a 40+, it doesn't matter if it never happens because its such a great place full of anticipation and the feeling of this is gonna be the night, every time, I love it, and just keep going back and it just doesn't matter how I did the last trip. Every night I find myself saying "I cant believe I only have an hour left before first light".

A word of caution, Don't get the wrong idea, there are many nights I do not see one person when I am fishing. It can be a dangerous place and should not be taken lightly, especially the south side. I fish it a lot different when I fish alone than when I am with my boys or a friend.

So the boys are in the surf? I remember looking at pictures of you with a 40 and them being dwarfed by the fish. Wow, how time flies.
