Green crabs and clams

More stuff I did not know... Now to apply this to tog fishing locally. Might as well because there sure aren't a lot of bass around...

They R not hard to catch here in a trap...would catch them when trapping eels....a person that I know here has been trapping them and selling them for the last 3 years, he got a grant from the government....to my knowledge they R used mostly from the cape down for tog fishing...very few people around here fish for tog...very nice eating fish.

Took my mom to Farnhams in Essex for clams yesterday.... Sign at the register expressing that they must pass on price increase in clams... Medium fried clam bellies went from 13.95 to 23.95...... And every clam joint we passed had lines out the door!

Farnham's line was pleasantly short. They have also invested in upgrading the dining area and kitchen over the winter.

Has been a problem up here in Maine for a while, there was talk of starting a commercial crab fishery for them, not sure where that went though.
As for the clams, with all of this recent rain, the flats have been shut down, maybe that is causing a shortage?

Well, I won't feel bad now about chopping them in half to fish for togs!
