FYI This maybe old news to many .but it s new news to me
Virginia has/is lifting the ban on menhaden because the fishing have rebounded so strongly ><.,

Never was a ban, ASMFC cut back the harvest levels a couple of years ago by 20%, VA & MD were basically the only states affected, the rest of states just ignored the required reduction. Now the new stock assessment says the stock is high, remains to be seen what the ASMFC will do.
