Make your own fishing lanyards (follow up)

I liked Striperd-bass user "Green Lights" idea of using old cell phone charger coil wire plugs. We all have some of these laying around. After I started thinking about it, didn't have any cable ferrules laying around and didn't want to run over to Lowes to pick up some but I did have lots of buck tail tying thread. Wrap it tight adds more than enough strength to get the job done.

I also had some buck tail and eyes so I thought I would authenticate the fishing lanyard.

Did you put some hard head cement on the threads?

I just tie a few overhand knots and then wrap over the knot and tag end with a bunch of electrical tape. It's not pretty; but it's cheap, simple and effective.
