any freedivers here? love the underwater scene, very telling watching fish in their element

After watching all the videos online it really makes me want to explore what's down there. I really want to spend time underwater this season. I think it will give me a better understanding of different species of fish in their environment as well.

I do. By no means am I a pro, but I do it regularly around the rocks of the Lower Bay in the summer. Water visibility is usually a b*tch, but I've followed bass and tog around. Floating around the kelp beds and rocky structures under water is pretty cool. Once you get below 15 ft it's pretty hard to see in front of your outstretched hand, though.
