I took a couple casts at a lower bay spot today that i normally wouldn't fish for a month and had some fish follow my shad right to my feet. Took that as a good sign.

Also heard a reliable report of pogies in the lower bay as well...

Nice!
Clammer I've been doing more and more freshwater in the spring last few years too. Still learning the ropes but its a lot of fun, helps take the sting off waiting for stripers to show up that's for sure. The tough part is deciding to go fresh or salt once you hear about fresh fish in the area...

something clever and related to fishing

Boat has been ready, but I've been waiting for a week like this one to warm things up and get things moving; actually gave getting a freshwater license a thought and decided I'd rather play golf.

Wind has been getting worse every year it seems, even the summer flat mornings for a smooth ride to Cutty or the Vineyard seem to be a thing of the past. Less fish and more wind, just not fair.

That picture is from last year.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind
